Crystal Mountain Spring Water began in 1996. After moving from Houston, TX to Huntsville, AL to work for the local Miller Distributorship (1994-1995), Terry saw an opportunity to get into the bottled water business.

At a time when few people were drinking bottled water, Terry and Nina Roberts had the foresight to see how increasing population, pollution, and industry would create ever scarcer amounts of vital fresh, clear, clean water – water as it should be. They saw the potential market. Taking a chance, they cashed out their 401K, bought a van, and began chasing the American dream. Clear Mountain Distributorship was born.

If you were to ask Terry Roberts how Crystal Mountain started, he would probably just smile and explain the long hours driving the van, going door to door, shaking hands, and winning accounts. That hard work has paid off. Renamed Crystal Mount Natural Spring Water to reflect the quality and taste of the water, the company now has over 4500 accounts covering the Tennessee Valley. Terry himself has gone from door to door salesman to past president and board member of the Southeastern Bottled Water Association.

Hard work goes hand in hand in hand with high quality. In 2005, Crystal Mountain Natural Spring Water won the Small Business of the Year Award. In 2007, Crystal Mountain won a Silver Medal at the Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting Award in the purified water division. Altogether, we’ve won 29 International Bottled Water Association Awards.

Terry and Nina have never lost sight of their beginnings. They are proud members of the Huntsville community and so is their company. They are the sole water sponsor for The Big Spring Jam and the sole provider of bottled water for the Von Braun Center. Each year, Crystal Mountain donates large amounts of bottled water to local causes and charities to help those in need. Nina is on the board of the local Red Cross and actively participates in the Huntsville High School PTA. Terry is a Margarita Society member.

The entire Crystal Mountain Spring Water family continues to grow as a business and within our community. The new Water Treatment Division is our latest addition to our complete commitment to safe and healthy water. We can now proudly service all water related issues.
